Columbia loves its library.
Over two-thirds (67%) of Columbia residents have library cards, which is double the average of other Connecticut towns!
Last year, SBL saw a 30% increase in library visits from the prior year.

The Library loves Columbia.
Last year, we provided 30% more programming than we did the year before. And now, we want to make using the library as easy as possible for everyone – which is why we have decided to make SBL a “fine-free” library.
We will no longer be charging late fines for most library items.
